POLICE are investigating a spate of burglaries and thefts in Winchester over the last two weeks.

Cash and jewellery were stolen from a top floor flat in The Valley, Stanmore, between August 26 and 28.

Police are appealing for information on cold callers after a back door was forced in at a house in Chilbolton Avenue between August 24-28.

Meanwhile a thief broke into a house in Andover Road, Weeke, on August 15 or 16.

There were also two thefts in Eversley Place, Stanmore, with a thief stealing garden tools from a shred between August 18-30.

Police urge anyone with information to call 101.
