A WINCHESTER communications agency has announced its new head of business.

Rhiannon Thompson joins Remarkable Group as the new head of business for the content team following the success of the Remarkable Content division's launch.

Ms Thompson was previously account director for the company's PR department before she left to head a communications team at The Consumer Finance Association.

Julius Duncan, executive director at Remarkable Content, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rhiannon back to the team at Remarkable. The launch of Content has generated a new wave of interest in the group's offering and Rhiannon's knowledge of the company combined with her far-reaching communications experience ensures a clear focus and understanding of what we strive to achieve for our clients; content that demands to be shared.”

Rhiannon said: “What drew me back to Remarkable Group was Remarkable Content's fresh approach to story-telling and the team's blend of skills and knowledge which has created a progressive and exciting proposition.

“Content-driven marketing communications, focused on the audience and providing valuable, compelling information in the right place at the right time is absolutely vital for businesses to cut through the informational clutter and stand out.

“It is clear from the conversations I am already having with prospects that the demand for such communications support is on the increase, as companies seek to feed their own media channels, wider social media networks, and influencers with imaginative content that secures the loyalty of their audience and ultimately drives sales.”
