COLDEN Common Parish Council has been forced to take drastic action following a string of incidents involving criminal damage.
The skateboard park and Central park has been subject to several incidents over the last few months, ranging from dogs digging holes in the grass, BBQs lit on plastic picnic tables and large amounts of litter and glass strewn over the area.
Most recently bark was completely removed from a tree in Central park and an area of the bank by the skateboard park was dug up to be used for bikes as a makeshift ramp. A combination lock to keep some play equipment secure was also destroyed.
Now the parish council has said they will be checking CCTV footage daily and they will prosecute anyone found deliberately damaging the area.
