A man accused of supplying drugs to a teenager who died at a Winchester music festival will stand trial in September.

Robert Boulton, 22, of Goodymoor Avenue, Wells, Somerset, has denied the supply of ketamine, a class C drug.

He was arrested by police investigating the death of Ellie Rowe, 18, from Glastonbury, Somerset, at BoomTown Fair at Cheesefoot Head last August.

Boulton appeared at Winchester Crown Court yesterday for a 15-minute hearing in a grey suit, white shirt and striped tie.

The Recorder of Winchester, Judge Keith Cutler, adjourned the case for trial due to start on September 2.

Boulton was remanded on bail with a condition not to attend this year’s BoomTown Fair which runs from August 7-10.
