WINCHESTER Rotary has announced further funding opportunities for a scholarship programme in the US.
Students have been invited to apply for the Georgia Rotary Scholarship Programme to study for a year at one of 30 colleges and universities within the state after two Peter Symonds College students have already been awarded.
Anya Griffin, from Alresford, and David Shaw, from Basingstoke, will be leaving in August.
Applicants must be aged between 18-25 and cannot be older than 25 by August 1 2015. They will be required to live on campus and will be provided with hall accommodation, meals and tuition.
There will be support from the local Rotary Club host families.
The scholarship does not cover the cost of flights or medical insurance.
A meeting will be held at Peter Symonds College on Tuesday, July 8, to provide more information and all names need to be sent to Denis Welstead, scholarship counselor, by Friday (July 4).
For more information please email Mr Welstead at djwelstead@btinternet.com.
