Police are appealing for witnesses after more than £10,000 of jewellery and silverware was stolen during a burglary at a house in East Meon.

Sometime between 10.20am and 10.35am on Tuesday, June 3, unknown offenders broken into a detached house in a rural area of the village.

Once inside, they stole many items of silverware and jewellery, which is thought to be worth in excess of £10,000.

PC Jasmin Connolly said: “Were you in the East Meon area during this time? Did you see or hear anyone acting suspiciously? Or any suspicious vehicles?”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Connolly at North Walls Police Station in Winchester on 101 or call the charity Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
