AN EXHIBITION showing proposed plans for new homes next to a historic site in Winchester will be held this week.

The development in Kingsgate Street, in Winchester, will be next to the Kingsgate, which is one of two surviving medieval gates into the city and the former entrance to the royal palace.

The scheme proposes a mixture of renovation and replacement of the existing buildings for residential lettings, with the exhibition part of an ongoing public consultation.

It will be held in Winchester College Music School, in Culver Road, on Friday June 13 from 5pm until 7pm, and Saturday June 14 from 10am until 12pm.
