YOUNGSTERS enjoyed a taste of Italy when they made their own pizzas to celebrate a city restaurant re-opening.

A team of 15 children from South Wonston Primary School and their parents were invited to Pizza Express in Winchester for a special pizza making party.

The City Bridge Road restaurant reopens with a new menu today (June 11) after four months of repairs.

The Grade II listed building based in the original part of the Old Mill on the River Itchen was forced to close in February when it was struck by the winter floods.

The 20 members of staff have also returned after spending the closure at other branches. They have been joined by four new teammates.
