THE Gordon-Keeble Owners Club is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its cars by returning them to their “home” over June 27-29.
Just 99 of these 1960s Supercars were made at Southampton Airport and Sholing between 1964 and 1966.
This will be the largest ever gathering of Gordon-Keebles with about half the total production in Hampshire over the weekend.
On the Friday, the cars will gather at the airport and then heading for the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.
On the Saturday the cars will be on show in the Southampton Civic Centre Car Park from approx 12-30 to 14-00.
On Sunday, The Broadway in Winchester will see the cars displayed outside the Guildhall in the morning whilst Eastleigh High Street will be filled with them in the afternoon.
The club has tracked down seven former GK employees who will be attending but wish to find more to attend during the weekend.
If anyone knows of any former employees, GKOC would like to hear; email wmcbug@aol.com or contact Mike Webster on 01794 368556.
