VOLUNTEERS for an emotional support charity were out in full force this weekend in Winchester.
The city's Samaritans had 50 people street collecting from 9am until 4pm throughout the city centre on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Winchester and District branch said: βI believe this is the most presence we've had from our volunteers on a rota basis. It is also a great opportunity to raise the awareness of our service as well as fundraising.
βIt is a very worthwhile day and can be so humbling when people come up to you saying thank you for being there of that we have supported them through a bad patch.β
