IN its third day of shoes, hats and bright coloured jackets Winchester Fashion Week was all about showcasing the latest in the spring/summer lines.

Mothers of brides across the county flocked to Brides of Winchester for a helping hand at choosing dresses and fascinators in time for the forthcoming nuptials from Katie Russell from House of Colour while the champagne flowed.

Laura Ward, owner of Brides of Winchester, said: “It's all gone so well, we like to do this at the same time as Winchester Fashion Week because people are here in the city anyway. We've had lots of brides' mothers in, all asking for help with their colouring, style and accessories; some of them are even from outside of Winchester.”

Thursday evening (April 3) saw models strut down the catwalk at Phase Eight's mini fashion show to raise funds for the mayor's charities.

Lauren Bennett, store manager of Phase Eight said: “It's fantastic to be such an integral part of the Winchester Fashion Week with our in-store show this evening and we are thrilled with how well it went. We are also delighted to have supported and raised vital funds for the mayor's charities.”

The store treated guests to complimentary champagne, cupcakes and a raffle which included prizes of a £40 Zizzi voucher, a £50 Phase Eight voucher with a personal shopper and an Elizabeth Arden gift.

Phase Eight will feature as part of the Winchester Fashion Week Finale Catwalk Show today (April 5) from 5.30pm at Winchester Guildhall.

Catherine Turness, BID Manager said: “We are so pleased the Winchester Fashion Week has given our BID Members, such as Phase Eight the platform to showcase their Spring/Summer Collections and raise their awareness within the city as a key fashion retailer.”
