PETER Symonds College recently said farewell to a valued member of their team.
After an impressive 34 year stint as a cleaner at the college, 84-year-old Stella Mullett has hung up her dusters for the last time.
Ms Mullettt got the job back in 1979 following a tip off from a friend who was working there.
Over the last three decades at the Owen's Road site Ms Mullet has seen the college develop from less than 1,000 students, to the present day campus with 26 buildings and 3,650 pupils.
She said: “It's time now for a well-earned rest. I'm looking forward to putting my feet up, however I will stay in touch with my friends and, when I am passing, will pop in for a cup of tea.
“I wish everyone the very best of luck with their careers and for the future. I hope that you all enjoy your time at Peter Symonds as much as I have.”
Estates manager John Taylor said: “Stella is a wonderful person and has been a real asset to the college. She will be sorely missed.”
