A WINCHESTER High Street store has had its windows smashed after a car allegedly crashed into them.
It is believed a car “backed into” the L K Bennett store at its rear entrance on St George’s Street at some point last night (February 25).
It is not yet known if anyone was injured or if any of the displays were destroyed.
Police have confirmed they received a call at around 8.30pm after "reports of a Citroen Saxo rolling into the window at L K Bennett" were received.
No arrests have been made.
The site is boarded up for the moment but the shop remains open for business.
