POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a spate of burglaries in and around Winchester.

Between 7pm on February 7 and 1.30pm on February 12 an attempt was made to gain entry into a house on Grange Park in Northington, near Alresford.

A week later entry was forced in to a house on Worthy Road, Winchester, between 8.15am and 6pm on February 15, with three watches and a selection of jewellery taken.

The third, in Itchen Abbas, took place between 2pm on February 14 and 4pm on February 16 at a property on Main Road where cash and jewellery was stolen.
