A WINCHESTER Community Centre has unveiled a brand new look, thanks to a donation.
The Winnall Community Centre received pots of bright paint from Dulux Decorator Centres in Hedge End, as part of the Let's Colour mission to 'add colour to people's lives'.
Community development coordinator Cllr Janet Berry, nominated the project online.
With the centre's 50th birthday approaching next year, staff were keen to make sure the centre looked up to the job of serving the community for another 50.
Cllr Berry said: “We are extremely grateful to Dulux Decorator Centres for the kind paint donation. We have been able to put it to really good use in the main hall and the revamp means the venue is now a more welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone who uses it. All of the members have commented on how great it now looks.”
Geoff Pardon, store manager of Dulux Decorator Centres on Manaton Way, said: “Helping such a great project to impact so many lives in the local community was an absolute pleasure. The transformation has really brought the Winnall Community Centre to life and we hope it will make a big difference to the local people.”
