SPECIAL constables across Hampshire went above and beyond the call of duty at the end of last year.
Official records show over 500 volunteers completed nearly 10,000 hours of duties in December.
The 553 volunteers, who tallied up the 9,664 hours, will soon be joined by a further 118 volunteers currently being trained.
Statistics prove that each special constable worked 23.3 hours on average – eight hours more than that of the national minimum.
