A CARE home in Winchester opened its doors to the public for an afternoon of carol singing on Sunday.

Colten Care in Abbotts Barton invited people to come in and enjoy the hymns as sung by members of the Winchester Community Choir.

The choir have sung at several events at the home over the past few years, including Easter and past Christmases, which this year saw 30 of them gather together for a sing-song at the home on Worthy Road.

Abbotts Barton activity organiser, Janet Orchard, said: “Our residents absolutely love these events. The chance to hear carols and Christmas music performed live really helps everyone get into the Christmas spirit.”
