Stanmore school hugs its way through anti-bullying campaign
STANMORE Primary School pupils have given their school a giant hug.
As part of their fight against bullying, 300 youngsters formed a circle to mark the end of anti-bullying week on November 22.
But it wasn’t quite enough – the youngsters couldn’t quite reach and so they shifted the giant cuddle to the front field.
They chanted ‘Tell! Tell! Tell!’ – part of the advice given to children who feel they are being bullied.
Some of the children also looked at how to stay safe in cyber space.
A spokesman said: “Children have been involved in a variety of activities as part of National Anti-bullying week. “They’ve researched the different types of bullying, looked at where it occurs and put this data into graphs and bar charts. They’ve produced some excellent anti-bullying poetry and have explored ‘fix-it’ scenarios in drama sessions.
“And they all now know that the best way to deal with a bully is to make sure you ‘tell, tell tell!’”
