POLICE are appealing for information after collectable items were stolen from a house in Denmead.

The burglary occurred between 9.30am and 2pm on Friday, March 15, at a house in Uplands Road.

Entry was forced and the offenders stole items including an unopened box of Planet of the Apes cards from the 1970s, and silver Philharmonic coins dated 2009.

Detective Constable Craig Rainsley said: “These are rare collectable items and I would like to hear from anyone that has been offered them for sale.

“I would urge people to consider installing alarm systems if you live in properties that are not easily overlooked by neighbours as this can deter criminals from targeting your house.”

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det Con Rainsley at North Walls police station by phoning 101.

Mini-Com users can call the police on 18001 101. Information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
