THREE men have been arrested after an assault in Winchester earlier this week.

A 28-year-old man from Winchester was attacked in Hyde Street, Hyde, at around 8pm on Tuesday, March 19.

He was with a glass bottle, causing a fractured skull, and he is currently recovering at Royal Hampshire County Hospital.

A 46-year-old man, a 39-year-old man and a 35-year-old man, all from Winchester, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. They have been released on bail until April 24.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault to come forward.
