Police appeal for witnesses after £40,000 burglary in city centre
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a £40,000 city centre burglary.
The raid took place at a clinic in Bridge Street on March 9.
Sometime between 1pm and 1.15pm, a window was smashed to gain entry and CCTV pictures show a man leave Redwoods Health Therapies carrying specialist health and beauty equipment.
PC Andy Spooner, of the Winchester targeted patrol team, said: “These items would have been quite heavy and the offender would have needed a vehicle to transport them.
“CCTV footage shows a man in dark clothing carrying the items one by one onto Magdalen Hill.
“We also know lots of people walked past this man carrying the items. Were you in the area that afternoon? Did you witness this burglary or see this man?”
Anyone with any information should contact PC Spooner at North Walls police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
