CHILDREN at a Chandler's Ford school have seen an unusual addition to their grounds.

St Francis CoE Primary School, in Valley Park, now has an 8ft storyteller chair carved by Hampshire craftsman Richard Austin.

It is part of a project to transform their grounds into outdoor learning areas where classes can be held.

The initiative began last year, when an area of woodland was cleared and fish introduced to the pond.

The school is now appealing to local businesses for help with the project.
