New Winchester building society appoints manager

Sandra Smith has been appointed manager of the new Winchester branch of Newbury Building Society
A NEW Winchester building society set to open in April has appointed its manager.
Sandra Smith will take charge of Newbury Building Society, based in the High Street.
She moves to the city from a successful spell in a similar role at the Andover branch.
Newbury development director Geoff Knappett said: “Mrs Smith is a qualified and knowledgeable branch manager who has proven herself as a valuable asset to the society and local community.
“Her team in Andover won the society’s branch of the year accolade four times in the last six years. We are confident she will offer the same level of quality customer service to the local residents of Winchester as she has in Andover.”
Mrs Smith added: “I look forward to working with my new team and sharing my passion for great customer service with the local community.”
As well as managing the branch, Mrs Smith also organised several charity events including pancake races and creating a vegetable patch for young carers.
