Go ahead given for overnight camping at Alresford Festival
CAMPING will go ahead at Alresford Music Festival this summer.
The town council has unanimously agreed to allow people to erect tents on the recently-purchase field next to Arlebury Park at the one-day event in July.
Organisers believe it will help attract more people to the outdoor event, now in its fourth year.
But the town council will not be opening up Alresford Recreation Centre overnight because of security and insurance issues.
The organisers will provide toilets and washing facilities, the council heard.
