Battle of the real ale pubs

TEN pubs from southern Hampshire – two from the Winchester area - have been nominated for CAMRA’s (Campaign for Real Ale’s) pub of the year title.
The pubs nominated include the Flower Pots at Cheriton, near Alresford, and The Phoenix in Twyford.
One is in the Meon Valley: the Wheatsheaf Inn, Shedfield.
Four are in Southampton: The Junction Inn in Priory Road; the Rockstone and the Guide Dog in Bevois Valley; and the Wellington Arms in Freemantle.
The other nominated are, the Black Horse in West Tytherley; the Old House at Home in Romsey; and the Royal Oak in Fritham.
The winner will be announced in March and will be entered for the competition in the Wessex region.
