Winchester phone pest found guilty
A WINCHESTER phone pest who breached an anti social behaviour order to contact police has been given a three-year conditional discharge.
Steven Shaw, 40, of Trussell Crescent, Weeke, called the police on November 6 without a genuine emergency or about a current police investigation, Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard.
Shaw denied the charge in court on Monday (JAN7) but was convicted after a brief trial.
A second charge that he contacted police on December 30 was withdrawn.
