CHILDREN from a Hampshire nursery were given a practical lesson in sharing this harvest.

Boys and girls from the Meon Springs Montessori in Bramdean collected groceries and treats for a harvest basket.

On Friday, (October 26), they delivered it to Renee Munday, a 90-year-old lady living in the village. Renee was delighted at the youngsters' arrival, thanking them with packets of sweets.

Gemma O'Reilly, who recently took over the nursery, said: "It is important for the children to understand the concept of giving and sharing and this was the perfect opportunity to give something back to someone who is a highly respected member of the local community.”

The nursery now looks forward to welcoming Renee as a special guest at their Christmas play.
