POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted burglary in Otterbourne.

A man tried to gain entry to a home on Cranbourne Drive, Otterbourne, between 11.05pm and 11.10pm on Sunday, October 27.

While attempting to get in through an upstairs window at the back of the home, he was disturbed by a resident and left empty-handed.

He was described as of mixed race.

PC Emma Purser said: “I am particularly keen to hear from anyone in the Otterbourne area who may have had unusual callers recently or noticed anything suspicious in the area. “I would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward and speak to us and help us find the person responsible.”
