POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a woman who may have been out all night in sub-zero temperatures last night.

Yvonne Jones, 57, of Spencer Road, New Milton, was last seen by her husband at 2.30pm yesterday.

A police spokesman said: "Police and her family are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare as she has only a small amount of money and may have been out in the cold weather overnight.

"Mrs Jones is believed to be in a depressed state."

The spokesman said Mrs Jones had no access to a vehicle and was probably still in the Lymington and New Milton area.

She is described as white, 5ft 10in, slim, with short, light brown hair. She was wearing a green jacket and black or grey trousers.

Ring Lymington police station on 0845 045 4545 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

What is it with New Milton, I thought that it was a quiet leafy foresty place. Loads of crime and this sort of thing going on as well as the chap who died in odd circumstances. Area to avoid I think.
