Hall’s going to plan, say TVBC

Following extensive refurbishment Romsey’s Crosfield Hall will be reopened on September 12 in advance of a full meeting of Test Valley Borough Council.

The meeting has been moved from TVBC’s Duttons Road offices to allow councillors to see first hand the improvements to the building which be the venue for committee following the sale of Duttons Road.

TVBC say other cabinet and committee meetings due to take place in Romsey in 2012 will continue to be held at Duttons Road, prior to transferring to Crosfield Hall from January.

The authority says the plan to purchase the former Magistrates Court in Church Street from Hampshire County Council is “progressing well”. The property be home to TVBC’s new customer services unit.

A council spokesman confirmed that TVBC has yet to put Duttons Road on the market officially.
