New fence at bridge takes its first hit

FENCING close to the new Ashfield Bridge was damaged after a car crashed into it.
The Peugeot was negotiating a left bend when it collided with the off side wooden fencing on Monday, August 13, at around 11.40pm.
The driver, a 22-year-old woman from Fareham, was unhurt.
Police said they have left police tape on the fence to alert the Highways team who will be coming out to repair it.
