Children’s play centre up for sale

The owners of a Romsey children’s play centre have announced they are to sell up as the business celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Paul and Cecilia Taylor started Serendipity Sam’s in 2000, since when it has become a hugely popular venue for children’s parties and outings.

Cecilia said:“We’ve had a great 10 years; like any business we’ve had our highs and lows. We started the business when our children, Amy and Joe, were 10 and six. Now they are both grown up, we feel it is time for a change.”

“The day-to-day operation is overseen by Romsey general manager, Dave Gillard, and we are not as involved as we once were, so we have decided to place the business for sale with a local agent, but its business as usual until a new owner is found.”

In 2001, the company reached the HSBC Start-Up Stars national final.

The following year, they opened their second Serendipity Sam’s in Christchurch. More recently, the company has been accepted into the Play Providers’ Association.
