A ROMSEY charity worker is hoping to raise the organisation's profile as it celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Teresa Young, an assistant for Tenovus in the market town, said she wanted to raise awareness of the work the cancer research charity undertakes across the UK.
The charity will mark its 75th anniversary in October, but is holding a series of events through the year to celebrate the milestone.
Teresa said one of her dreams was to see the Tenovus Cancer Care mobile support units into Romsey, and across the rest of England.
She said: "These units are incredible, they take a lot of the travelling and some of the stress and anxiety out of going for your cancer treatments.
"These units can come to you. After watching my father go through his chemotherapy, I understand how vital these could be to some people.
"My dream is to see the mobile unit drive by while I'm in my home town of Romsey, how incredible would that be?"
To mark the 75th birthday, the charity is holding a nationwide raffle for a MG3 sports car, with other vouchers also on offer.
Teresa and shop manager Janet Cooper, will also be selling tickets in the Romsey store, off the corner of Market Place, as part of the celebrations.
