POLICE have appealed for the public's help after a car was targeted in Stockbridge.
Between 3.45pm and 4.30pm on May 15, a black VW was targeted, with extensive damage done to the rear windscreen and several items taken.
Hampshire police said: "The VW received extensive damage to the rear windscreen and several items, including a handbag and mobile phone were stolen from the victim's vehicle.
"Police are particularly interested in speaking to a male seen sat up in the same lay-by by a witnes, prior to the incident."
The break-in happened on Kentsboro Road, off the B3084.
Anyone with information on the incident, or who witnessed it, is asked to call police on 101 quoting reference number 44180179877.
