GREEN-FINGERED growers made a great impression at Romsey Allotment Holders Association’s annual show.
Vegetables came in all shapes and sizes with some giant entries amongst them. This included a crop of marrows, potatoes, beetroot and onions.
This was the fifth annual show that Romsey Allotment Holders Association has staged and organiser Peter Thompson said, the seventeen-category event was well supported with both fruit and vegetables which gave the judges Mick and Jianhua Corden from Old Winton Allotments in Andover a difficult task to pick the winning exhibits.
Top grower was Eddie Randtoul who received first prize for Best in Show with his Trug of Vegetables.
Chairman John Blackmore thanked all that had attended and hoped for an even better level of entries next summer.
