THOUSANDS of pounds were raised for a national charity by a Romsey father.

Father and son team Bryan and Gethin Musk recently cycled the Ride London 100k in support of Prader- Willi Syndrome Association, a charity close to Gethin's heart as his daughter has the disease.

With support from friends, the pair raised more than £5,500.

Gethin was raised in Romsey and received sponsorship from many of his old friends from in and around the market town.

Bryan and two of his friends, also rode the Ride London 100 in support of his son and granddaughter. They are all Romsey based and often are found at Romsey Rapids.

They all trained incredibly hard and gave it their all on the day to raise funds for the PWSA and to raise awareness of PWS, a rare genetic disorder.
