BUDDING photographers have just a day left to submit their best snaps for a competition.

The Viewfinders Camera Club Photographic Competition is looking for the best pictures to be displayed in its annual exhibition.

Run this year as part of the upcoming Romsey Festival, the Romsey Advertiser-backed competition is open to all ages.

Closing date for the pictures is tomorrow, May 31; entry is free.

The competition features two classes, adult and under-18.

First prize for the adult class is a one-to-one full-day workshop with photographer Chris Button of Chris Button Photography.

For the under-18 class, a £150 gift voucher is up for grabs.

Special prizes are also on offer: for the best landscape picture the winner will get a signed print by well-known local professional photographer Kev Sandall.

For the best storytelling photo, the prize is a day with a member of the Romsey Advertiser’s photographic team.

Winners will be announced in the Romsey Advertiser on June 30.

The winning images will be printed and shown in the Viewfinders of Romsey Camera Club Annual Exhibition which takes place during the Romsey Festival from July 8 to July 16 in King John’s House, Romsey.

Prizes will be presented at the Exhibition Invitation Preview evening on Friday, July 7. Both the competition and exhibition are events of the Romsey Festival.
