A HAMPSHIRE county councillor has sponsored a local group so they can go on more outings.
Cllr Alan Dowden, member for Baddesley, gave a £1,000 Hampshire County Council grant to the Happy Bunch Over 70’s Club.
Jayne Howells, who runs the club, said it was fantastic that Alan supported them in this way and took time out of his busy schedule to visit. She added that the club, which meets from 2pm to 4pm on a Tuesday at the Age Concern Hall, Chandler’s Ford, will make new members very welcome and transport can be arranged for Chandler’s Ford residents to attend.
