GRITTERS will head out onto Hampshire's roads tonight as temperatures plunge across the county.
The Met Office predicts that the needle will drop as low as 1C in Southampton early tomorrow morning and 0C in Winchester, Romsey and Lyndhurst, while the 'feels like' temperature will be even colder.
Although snow warnings have been issued for other areas of the country, this is not the case in Hampshire.
Hampshire County Council's Highways team wrote on social media: "Road surface temperatures are going to dip below freezing so we'll be salting our north, south and central routes from 8pm tonight."
