AT £9 MILLION it is the biggest single attraction that bosses at Paultons Park have ever undertaken – and it is set to be unleashed within weeks.

The popular Hampshire theme park is preparing for the opening of the much-anticipated Lost Kingdom which boasts a host of new rides, rollercoasters and expeditions through the Jurassic landscape

The new attraction will also see a first for the theme park as it unveils a suspended coaster where families can ride with their feet off the ground as they soar through the skies on the Flight of the Pterosaur.

It is also the first of its kind to be launched in the UK.

The thrill seeking experience continues as along with two new rollercoaster which also includes a ‘boomerang’ style ride called Velociraptor, guests can also enjoy Jurassic-themed family rides, a prehistoric dinosaur adventure play park and an opportunity to come face to face with walking animatronic dinosaurs.

The finishing touches are being made to the prehistoric landscape before it’s opening on May 17.

At £9 million it is the biggest investment in a new attraction ever made by park bosses, coming in at £3 million more than Peppa Pig World.

It was was after the opening of that attraction on 2011 that catered for the pre-schoolers that Paultons’ bosses decided that something for an older age group was needed.

Richard Mancey, managing director of Paultons Park, said: “Lost Kingdom is going to be very special.

“It is a truly unique experience where families can be thrown back millions of years to see, hear and feel a prehistoric world.

“Children and adults of all ages are fascinated by dinosaurs and I think the amazing world we’ve created here at Paultons Park and the rides within it will thrill both children and adults alike.”
