Netley Marsh-based charity Tools for Self Reliance (TFSR) has put out a call for electric sewing machines, to meet a growing demand in Africa.

TFSR volunteers refurbish unwanted machines and sends them to tailoring projects across Africa.

The projects in Africa train people of all ages enabling them to create employment opportunities and better support their families. They are also given a machine, following their training.

The next shipment is planned for Zambia in the coming weeks, following a recent one to Sierra Leone.

If you have a machine you’d like to donate contact the charity on 023 8086 9697 or visit tfsr.org.
