A CONTROVERSIAL scheme to build nine affordable homes at Braishfield will be debated by Test Valley’s Southern Area Planning Committee tomorrow (Tuesday).
The proposals include four one-bedroom and five two-bedroom homes on grazing land near the Wheatsheaf pub in Braishfield Road.
Council officers are recommending permission for the application submitted by Christopher Buchan-Hepburn.
Braishfield Parish Council, Romsey and District Society and 35 individuals have objected to the plans – some claiming there is not a need for the proposed development because more than 300 affordable homes are being built at nearby Abbotswood. There have been at least five letters supporting the scheme.
