A MAJOR road into Romsey from the north has reopened after being closed for nearly two weeks because of severe flooding.
Highway bosses lifted the temporary road closure of the A3057 at Greatbridge on Wednesday after floodwaters receded. Budds Lane was reopened the previous day.
Fishlake Meadows Road has also reopened but temporary traffic lights have been installed as one lane is still affected by flooding.
Roads in the King's Somborne are still closed due to flooding and they include Winchester Lane, New Lane and Vicarage Lane.
Businesses on the Budds Lane Industrial Estate were virtually cut off during flooding after all roads leading to the site were closed.
Many lost hundreds of thousands of pounds in trade because the roads to their businesses were inaccessible to the public. Romsey World of Water in Greatbridge Road was also badly hit.
