STOCKBRIDGE'S annual charity fun will be held on Sunday morning.

Hundreds of competitors are expected to gather outside the town hall from 9.30am ready for the 10am start of the 27th George Skeates Charity Fun Run organised by Jeremy Crossman.

All cash raised will be split between two charities - Wessex Heartbeat and the Integrated Spinal Rehabilitation Foundation based at Salisbury District Hospital. There is an eight mile run and a three mile trail for the less energetic fundraisers.

The longer run will take competitors across open countryside towards Chattis Hill and Longstock and the shorter one is on-road from Stockbridge to the Peat Spade at Longstock and back to the town centre.

A road closure will be in place on the A30 in the High Street while competitors gather for the start.

People can enter the event on the day. There is a charge of £12 per adult and £5 per child.
