Teenagers in bridge crash escape
2:45pm Thursday 7th March 2013 in Romsey
THREE teenagers escaped serious injury when a car crashed into railings on a bridge over the River Test at Mottisfont.
Police say a 17-year-old male, from Awbridge, who was a passenger in the VW Passat, suffered a fractured thumb in last Friday night’s accident.
The 17-year-old driver, who lives at Michelmersh, and another passenger, a 16-year-old from Timsbury, were unhurt.
Wooden railings on the bridge were damaged in the incident, which happened at 11.45pm and the road between Mottisfont and Michelmersh was blocked for a time.
