Oratorio's world premiere

AN oratorio by local composer Henrietta Wentworth- Stanley is to be performed at St Mary’s Church in Andover on 20 October.
Spirit is a contemporary oratorio which involves a large scale chorus, soloists and orchestra, and this will be the world premiere of the piece, with singers from all over Hampshire and Wiltshire.
The musicians in the orchestra will also be playing together for the first time, so it will be an evening of firsts and very much a coming together of local musical talent.
Tickets cost £15 and £10 for concessions, with those aged 16 and under entering for free. You can book tickets online via the website at spiritoratorio.co.uk or by calling Evie Howard on 07738 929089, seating is unreserved and the doors will open at 6.30pm.
