An implement was used to force open a secure garage door in Boreway Close, Andover. Once inside, the burglars took a large amount of fishing tackle - worth more than £10,000 - and a number of other items.
The stolen items include numerous fishing reels, nets, alarms, remote control boats to take line out into the water, a tent, chairs and beds. Along with two Barbel fishing rods, three Black Max fishing rods, eight Greys fishing rods, three Nash fishing rods, two Pike fishing rods and a Canon digital camera model EOS550, worth £549, in a red and black camera bag. The bag contained three lenses, a battery pack and three batteries worth around £160.
The second incident occurred between 8am on Tuesday, 9 October and 6.30pm on Friday, 12 October in Galahad Close, Andover. The offender/s broke in to the garage and once inside stole fishing equipment.
Pc Dave Hindle said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about these burglaries. The incidents took place within a number of days of each other and in both incidents expensive fishing tackle has been stolen.
“Were you in the area at the time of the incidents? Have you been offered any of the stolen items for sale?
“As always, I would urge residents to ensure locks on garages are kept maintained and in good working order and to keep valuable property indoors and away from outer windows.”
Anyone with any information should contact Pc Hindle at Andover police station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
