CHILDREN’S author, Ed Wicke, entertained children at Anton Junior School by telling some of his funny stories from his new Wicked Tales 4 book.

Ed returned to the school after a hugely successful visit last year and held an assembly for the whole school followed by a book signing session.

Brothers Luis and Jenson Wyatt, who both attend the school, said they enjoyed the visit.

Luis said: “I really liked it when Ed read the story Sleeping Beauty featuring the Seven Easter bunnies.

“It made me laugh when he told us about the cute bunnies having chainsaws.”

Jenson said: “He did some really funny voices which made me laugh, especially in the story called The Three Little Kittens.”

Ed Wicke visited the school last year as part of writing week and returned this year to launch his new book, Wicked Tales 4.

Literacy co-ordinator, Becky Collins, said: “The children really love listening to Ed’s stories because they are so funny.

“His Wicked Tales books especially have inspired even reluctant readers to read.

“I was overwhelmed at how many children and parents turned up at the end of the day to get books signed.”
