Fire station to open doors

ANDOVER Fire Station will be holding an open day from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 23 September to celebrate 50 years of the station being in its present location.
The anniversary event will see modern and vintage fire engines at the station as well as fire displays in George Yard car park, road traffic displays and dog displays.
There will also be a number of charity stalls at the station as well as activities for children including a firefighters’ experience.
The anniversary open day will be followed at 6pm by a party for serving and past members.
The station is appealing for any former members to get in touch as it is having difficulty contacting some of them.
