THE sun came out for a vintage club’s most successful show.

About 3,000 people descended on fields owned by farmer Dave Burnfield in Danebury Road over the weekend for the Upper Test Valley Vintage Club’s working weekend.

The number of exhibitors climbed to 400, with motors such as a Douglas Timber tractor, locomotives and a 1908 racksaw bench being shown.

Honor Burnett, secretary and membership secretary, said about the 11th show: “It was very successful and there was an enormous amount of people who turned up.

“It has been the best one we have had and the weather was absolutely spectacular.

“There was also an amazing amount of exhibitors.”

The weekend-long event raised money for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Honor added: “A great thank you to everybody that helped and attended, and Dave Burnfield, who lent us the field and all the grounds.”
